So my usual working ours are Friday afternoon, all day saturday and sunday.
But today I was covering for my immediate boss and totally forgot until I got to work today that they were going to be tearing down the old kennels on the south side and replacing them with new improved and awesome ones.
Yay, new stuff in the shelter.
Also we were getting a new sink, since the old one is like, 30 yrs old and is just stupid.
Sitting on a piece of wood thats not only rotting away, covered in mold and is a magnet for dirt, dog hair and anything else that deems itself disgusting.
So today I was hauling chain link fence, huge metal poles, and just about anything else that happens to be related to kennels and materials for them.
Gah.
But it was fine.
Hauled everything to the best of my ability and it felt good to do some real physical exercise.
The only thing that really sucked is when we finally got the new sink in, here is this beautiful, new stainless steel sink, completely clean and free of dirt and problems, and wham.
The whole floor looks like someone... pood all over it.
Nasty.
So i was on my hands and knees with brushes and lots of soap and water scrubbing the dirt off the floor.
So now our floor is really clean and we have a new sink and tomorrow they'll probably get the new kennels up!
Yay! Now we dont have to get cracked on the head
