My Boa's
This is the page where I end up telling you all about my Red Tailed Boas.
I currently own two Colombian Red Tailed boas, one female and one male.
They are both very special and they are the centerpiece of our herp collection.
Adam is a two almost three year old RTB that is het for Kahl Albino.
He is really big, I havent actually measured him and we are in the process of getting a scale to weigh his heavy butt, but he is pretty awesome.
He currently feeds on medium to large rats, or several adult mice when rats are no where to be found.
Eve was our first boa, and shes almost two. She was born in March of 2010, and is going to be pretty big.
She feeds on small adult mice, but we are having some trouble getting her to eat frozen/thawed mice, so we've lately been dangling them in front of her live, and just watching to make sure she doesnt get hurt.
Ive also been bit twice by her because of her preference for live mice, as the mice have gotten loose or something and fearing that she would get bitten or worse, I have stuck my hand in there and shes nipped me.
But oh well all in good time.
I wouldnt mind growing my boa collection and that was the point in the first place.
When Eve gets big enough her and Adam are destined to be boyfriend and girlfriend and hopefully will produce some pretty albinos.
Anyway thats all I can really tell you about our boas, and hopefully when everything gets settled, ill be able to tell you more stories about them both!
